Position: Study Director

Candidate profile: Ph.D. in life sciences with knowledge in toxicology and Zebrafish

 

Main functions:

  1. Leading R&D projects, internal and clients’.

  2. Scientific posters and articles writting.

  3. Taking part at conferences and presenting posters.

  4. Objective and experiments designing.

  5. Collaborate with Zebrafish facility.

  6. Team coordination and management.

 

 

Requisites:

  • Previous experience with Zebrafish.

  • Previous experience in biotech, pharma or CRO.

  • Ability to develop, analyze, and interpret toxicology information

  • Language skills: English proficiency

  • Demonstrating the ability to be creative, collaborative and motivated

  • Communicating hazard and risk information effectively to people with different levels of expertise, such as colleagues and customers will be required.

  • Initiative, proactivity, and teamwork capacity.

Laboratory technician

 

Company: BBD Biophenix SLU (Biobide)

We are a Contract Research Organization (CRO) specialized in the use of zebrafish as an alternative model in biomedical research. We offer preclinical toxicity and efficacy services to companies in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical and cosmetic industries worldwide.

Job title: Laboratory Technician

Candidate profile: Experienced Laboratory Technician

 

Functions:

  1. Maintenance and management of:

  • Reagents

  • Equipment

  • Laboratory and warehouse. Stock control.

  1. Participation in trials of Studies for clients (GLP / no GLP) and Validation of the different tests developed in BBD BioPhenix.

  • Preparation of equipment, reagents, and materials necessary for scheduled tests.

  • Carry out experiments autonomously, following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or established protocols and ensuring traceability in the tests.

  • Search of bibliography and various information related to the trials that are carried out.

  1. Ensure quality and participate in the continuous improvement process:

  • Drafting and maintenance of the documentary system.

  • Collaborate in the development of inspections of activities as part of the Quality Assurance Program.

  • Compliance according to the SOPs and Protocols.

  1. Animal Experimentation:

  • Communication and collaboration with the Animal Facility Department in projects related to the development, maintenance and management of fish lines.

Techniques:

  1. RNA / DNA and protein extraction

  2. PCR/RT-PCR/Western Blot

  3. Spectrophotometry

  4. Immunohistochemistry / immunofluorescence

  5. Fluorescence Microscopy

  6. Management of Office 365, Excel (macros), management of databases (LIMs)

 

 

Requirements:

  • Laboratory Technician training (important handling of micropipettes and experience working with serial dilutions).

  • Certificate in animal experimentation of functions B and C (former category B) will be valued.

  • Previous experience and knowledge of the mentioned techniques.

  • Initiative, proactivity and teamwork capacity.

  • Attention to detail and organized.

  • Immediate availability.

  • Experience in zebrafish will be valued.

 

Contract:

  • Full time – 40 hours per week

  • Shifts from Monday to Sunday, including holidays

Sales Representative and Business Development

Position Name: Sales representative and Business Development BBD BioPhenix USA LLC.

Department: Sales and Business Development

Reporting to: CEO BBD BioPhenix USA LLC.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Functions (Actions or tasks assigned within the sales & Business development department)

A qualified sales rep and business development with their own skill as well as leadership of a team of driven sales representatives. The ideal position has in-depth knowledge of and experience with the sales process, and excels at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals. A quick learner who has strong negotiating skills — someone with a track record of success who can inspire the same in others. The role demands a leader with a sharp mind and an ability to open new doors, new accounts, new customer leads and, above all closing deals.

Objectives of the role/position

  • Represent the company with a comprehensive understanding of its offerings

  • Research consumer needs and identify how our solutions address them

  • Achieve company objectives by planning effectively, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance

  • Continuously develop leadership, hiring, and training skills while ensuring that the team is using effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives

  • Generate leads and closing, establishing and nurturing client relationships


 

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands customer base and extends global reach

  • Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs

  • Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partners and clients

  • Ensure that company quotas and standards are met by holding check-ins to set objectives for the day and to monitor progress

  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes

  • Closing deals


 

Skills and qualifications

  • Scientific background in lifesciences.

  • Seven or more years of managing sales within a corporate setting

  • Proven record of success with the entire sales cycle, from planning to closing

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Current/existing contacts within the lead targets of BBD Biophenix

  • Ability to travel at least 20% of the time


 

Preferred qualifications

  • Proven success rate at levels above sales quota

  • Proven experience in CRO toxicity and efficacy testing sales quota

  • English and Spanish


 

Compensation package: to be negotiated based on proven experience and realistic expectations
